About

The Southwest Florida Concert Band is a registered non-profit organization and provides the opportunity for residents of Southwest Florida to join together to perform FREE concerts as a full concert band or in small groups and could support ceremonial occasions in its local area. The Band’s musical season is from October to April and it rehearses weekly in order to present a concert at least once per month.

The mission of the Band is to promote the love of music and develop music appreciation through the rehearsal and performance of concert band music in the Southwest Florida community. Membership in the Band is open to any accomplished amateur or professional musician.

If you love music like we do, we offer you the opportunity to meet interesting people and perform concerts for appreciative audiences. All new musicians must possess a high skill set of musical ability on their instrument and be able to play at a first chair level.  We have immediate openings for clarinet, bassoon, french horn, trombone and percussion. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 6:45 P.M.

Become a Patron of the Band

Patrons of the Band will be mentioned at concerts and will have recognition in the program. There are several levels of recognition for patrons to reflect the amount of support they have given to assist the Band in its ability to carry out its mission. Funding will be applied to hall rental for rehearsals and concerts, purchase of music and equipment, and ongoing administrative costs to produce programs and information for the Band.
